Senior Research Associate

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced researcher to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in Cliometrics and Quantitative Economic History.
The successful candidate will be involved in independent and/or team research, developing their expertise in this field. The role involves carrying out activities to advance research skills relevant to their particular area of research.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting individual and/or collaborative research consistent with disciplinary practice.
- Creating scholarly impact in the discipline through recognized contributions to the advancement of knowledge.
- Undertaking research/scholarly activities under limited supervision, either independently or as part of a team.
- Establishing a personal research portfolio and developing independent research proposals.
- Contributing to the development of applications for competitive funding under the guidance of senior colleagues.
Requirements and qualifications:
- Fluency in French and German languages.
- Significant experience in collection and digitization of original Archives.
- Proficiency in R, Python, Stata programming languages.
- A PhD in Economics with a demonstrated track record of high-quality research outcomes.
- Proven commitment to staying up-to-date with discipline knowledge and developments.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and collaborate across disciplines.
