Marine Power Products Manager

A successful marine power products and services manager will be responsible for developing and implementing account management and business development strategies to repair and upgrade ageing engines of heavy and industrial-sized vessels in the marine transport industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement account management and business development strategies for marine power products and services
  • Prepare service quotations, including operate and maintain opportunities
  • Maintain customer relationship management systems and regular communication with customers to ensure a high standard of product support is maintained at all times
  • Participate in sales and marketing of marine power products and associated services
  • Undertake customer and site visits with teams of service engineers to sell and expand services under the company's brand and complementary service products

Requirements:

  • Proven sales success in positioning and securing long-cycle maintenance sales and aftermarket products
  • Ability to clearly present technical concepts and solutions to stakeholders
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Intermediate level competence with Microsoft Office applications

Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering or trade fields, preferably with a technical maritime background
  • Sound understanding of diesel and/or dual-fuel engines
  • Knowledge and experience of the marine industry and vessel propulsion
  • Experience selling complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Experience selling to defence industry contractors
