Job Description

As a dedicated Maintenance and Transport Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the college's grounds are well-maintained and safe for daily operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for responding promptly to maintenance requests, communicating with the Principal on matters affecting school use of property or safety concerns, and ensuring regulatory standards, compliance, and insurance are met.

You will also support the Principal's vision for the site, including restoring, renovating, removing, and establishing facilities and amenities. Additionally, you will safely transport students to and from school on designated routes.

Key responsibilities include fostering a positive and welcoming atmosphere, building strong relationships with students, adhering to allocated schedules, and collaborating with colleagues to coordinate transportation for staff and student excursions and camps.

A clean and tidy bus interior is essential, promoting a comfortable and welcoming environment for students. You will adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the bus and ensure a warm, friendly, and welcoming manner at all times.

Maintenance of safety systems as trained and required is crucial, as well as contributing to the holistic care and welfare of students. Continuous professional development and participation in child safety and wellbeing induction and training are also expected.

The ideal candidate will have suitable qualifications and/or experience in maintenance/transport, be a committed Christian comfortable with sharing their faith, and relate well to staff, students, and parents.
