Job Title: Recovery Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Recovery Nurse to join our dedicated Recovery team at Royal Perth Hospital (RPH). As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality post-anaesthetic care to our patients.

About the Role:

  • Deliver High-Quality Patient Care: Provide safe and evidence-based nursing care for patients emerging from anaesthesia and surgery.

  • Work Effectively in a Dynamic Team: Collaborate with anaesthetists, surgeons, and the wider perioperative team to ensure continuity of care.

  • Educate Patients and Families: Educate patients and families on post-operative care as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and Assess Patient Condition: Monitor and assess patients' condition during recovery and respond promptly to changes.

  • Administer Medications: Administer medications and pain management interventions as prescribed.

About You:

  • Clinical Skills and Experience: Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and a minimum of 1 year's experience in Recovery/PACU or Critical Care is essential.

  • Sound Clinical Judgment: Sound clinical assessment and decision-making skills are required.

  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
