Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide expert-level support in ensuring the security and integrity of information systems. This involves conducting regular reviews to ensure compliance with established security protocols, notifying relevant personnel of any changes that may impact authorization, and coordinating modifications to hardware, software, or firmware with senior management.

A key aspect of this job is to monitor system recovery processes to guarantee that security features and procedures are properly restored and functioning correctly. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date IS security-related documentation, collecting and reviewing audit records, and identifying potential cyber security vulnerabilities.

This position requires a strong understanding of operating systems, networking, and security management principles. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a related field and possess relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or MCSA.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., computer science, information assurance)
  • Relevant certifications: CISSP, Security+, MCSA, or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an ISSO role or equivalent
  • Experience with Intelligence Community Directive 503 and Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Linux experience preferred
