The Project

The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a major infrastructure project undertaken by CPB Contractors and Downer. The project involves upgrading and replacing existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.

Project Overview

The project consists of a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments, including:

  • Albury Wodonga Military Area
  • Blamey Barracks (Kapooka)
  • RAAF Base Wagga

The project will incorporate a variety of elements, including:

  • Construction of new messing and living in accommodation
  • Construction of new training facilities
  • Refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings
  • Remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services

Your Role

We are seeking experienced Project Engineers to join the project team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and providing direction to the team to deliver the project in accordance with the specified requirements and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a culture of safety and risk management
  • Manage the effective set-up, delivery, and completion of the project
  • Monitor project progress against the program and budget
  • Review design and construction plans, schedules, and quality
  • Prepare accurate project reports and provide reporting on project risks and opportunities
  • Effectively assign tasks to project team members to deliver the required outputs
  • Ensure the project is adequately resourced to deliver project requirements

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Experience as a Project Engineer on a large-scale project
  • Demonstrated commercial experience, including planning, reporting, and risk management
  • Strong attitude and awareness of safety
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills
  • A problem solver and strategic thinker
