Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Support Worker. In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others by providing personalized support and assistance.

This is an exciting chance to work with individuals with disabilities, helping them to achieve their life goals and aspirations. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting daily living skills, such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and personal care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting person-centred plans to achieve customer life goals
  • Participating in recreational activities with customers
  • Supporting daily living skills, including meal preparation, housekeeping, and personal care
  • Administering medication and attending appointments
  • Ensuring positive behaviour support plans are followed
Requirements
  • Cert III in Individual Support (CHC33015 or CHC33021) –essential
  • Previous experience in supporting customers with mental health concerns, and manual handling
  • Live locally in the region and be able to work the full roster
  • Have willingness to support customers of any gender by assisting with personal care (showering, toileting) and domestic duties (meal preparation, housekeeping)
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
  • Passion for providing service and assistance and helping others live their best lives
  • Previous experience or willingness to train in manual handling and medication administration
  • Proven administration and computer literacy skills
  • A valid driver's licence and a willingness to use your private vehicle
