About the Role

This permanent position is based at the Cordeaux Colliery, near the coastal city of Wollongong, NSW, approximately 75 kilometres southwest of Sydney. As the Gas Laboratory Supervisor, you will lead the gas laboratory team to deliver operational tasks while maintaining accreditation, promoting safety, and driving continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing daily operations & ensuring efficient task completion.
  • Maintaining gas laboratory accreditation & regulatory compliance.
  • Managing equipment calibration, maintenance & operational standards.
  • Conducting non-conformance investigations & implementing corrective actions.
  • Providing leadership, coaching & fostering a culture of safety & continuous improvement.

About You

  • Prior laboratory experience and knowledge of Information Management Systems (LIMS).
  • Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 & NATA requirements.
  • Gas Chromatography (GC) & Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) experience (desirable).
  • Auditing processes & safety risk assessments.
  • Effective team leadership, communication & decision-making skills.
