Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Services Manager to join our Disaster, Emergency and School Security team. This role involves providing expert advice on school security infrastructure and incidents impacting schools in Queensland.

About The Role
  • Develop and implement a cyclical review program for school security-related documentation.
  • Contribute to the review and standardization of documentation across the Disaster, Emergency, and School Security portfolios.
  • Align guidelines for managing school security-related incidents with industry best practice.
  • Lead communication and marketing plans for security initiatives, publications, and updates.
  • Provide strategic advice on implementing the Department's approach to protective security in accordance with the Queensland Protective Security Framework.
  • Work closely with school security advisors, project delivery leads, and security technology advisors on security projects.
  • Manage projects and programs requiring extensive stakeholder engagement, including developing and implementing major change frameworks and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ability to lead and participate in teams formulating innovative solutions for security, infrastructure, and planning services.
  • Ability to provide high-level advice to management on security, infrastructure, and planning issues.
  • Experience in project teams developing, implementing, maintaining, and reviewing programs, policies, and procedures supporting strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strategic networks to monitor issues and changes, and identify best practices for security, infrastructure, and planning services.
  • High-level experience preparing responses, reports, and briefing materials on security, infrastructure, and planning issues.
  • Proven experience contributing to team development through guidance, support, mentoring, and on-the-job training.
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders to ensure services meet their needs.
