This role is a critical part of the mining maintenance team, responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient dewatering of Wallaby mine.
The Dewatering Technician will manage, install, repair, and monitor dewatering infrastructure including pumps and site infrastructure, following policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.
Main Responsibilities- Carry out mechanical repairs, servicing or modifications to equipment to maximise machine mechanical availability and increase operating efficiency.
- Perform preventative maintenance on underground dewatering systems.
- Conduct fault-finding, diagnosis, and repair of damaged pumps and all dewatering infrastructure.
- Maintain ancillary equipment.
- Regularly review maintenance processes and investigate, assess, and propose modern technology where appropriate.
- Prioritise resources and coordinate unplanned work over the course of the week.
- Proven experience in Fixed Plant Maintenance, preferably in an underground environment.
- Valid WA manual Driver's Licence.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Programs; SAP would be an advantage.
- Knowledge and application of relevant statutory obligations.
- HR license, Crane, Dogging, EWP, and Forklift tickets would be advantageous to your application.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. They will also be committed to working safely and efficiently, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
