Security Officer

The Security and Concierge Officer is a key member of the Security team at WorkSafe Victoria, responsible for delivering security support to the Medical Panels office. This role requires a high level of customer service, ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff and site visitors.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing exceptional customer service to members of the public, facility contractors, and visitors, including assessing client needs and responding appropriately.
- Monitoring surveillance equipment, including CCTV, intruder detection, and duress systems, and responding to incidents using pre-defined procedures.
- Ensuring workplace incidents, including emergency situations, are responded to appropriately and accurately documented.
- Performing building inspections to ensure security and responding to incidents using pre-defined procedures.
We are seeking an experienced Security and Concierge Officer with a proven track record of providing security and customer service in a large client-based environment. You will have knowledge of alarm systems, access control systems, CCTV, and Fire & Safety procedures, as well as the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
Additional criteria include:
- Demonstrated experience in the use of various security software programs.
- Proven ability in responding to security and emergency management incidents.
- Proven experience in communicating and responding to challenging situations.
- Strong data entry and written communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook systems.
- Victorian Security Licence.
- Certificate II in Security Operations (or equivalent).
- First Aid Certification.
