About the Role

Catholic Education Rockhampton is seeking a skilled Instrumental Music Tutor to join our team. As a Strings Instrumental Music Tutor, you will be responsible for facilitating instrumental music lessons for students at Catholic Secondary Colleges and Primary Schools in North and South Rockhampton.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality instrumental music lessons to students, promoting their musical growth and development.
  • Assist with the timetabling of instrumental music lessons, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Monitor student attendance and notify parents of any irregularities.
  • Communicate effectively with the Director of Instrumental Music and other stakeholders.
  • Liaise with parents regarding student progress and any concerns.
  • Report on student progress each semester.
  • Maintain accurate records for accounting purposes.
  • Collaborate with Ensemble Directors to ensure a cohesive music program.

About You

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Instrumental Music Tutor who is committed to the ethos of Catholic Education. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a high level of proficiency in computer skills.

Mandatory Requirements

  • A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role safely.
