The role of a Teacher in a Secondary Catholic School is someone who can collaboratively develop and implement quality curriculum programs relevant to the Science curriculum while creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment for their students.

• Create a learner-centred, supportive, and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies
• Develop and implement quality curriculum programs using effective teaching methods; assess and report student progress
• Use inclusive teaching strategies and adapt practices for equitable education
• Analyse student assessment data to identify learning barriers and encourage improvement
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance student outcomes
• Collaborate with school leadership, staff, and contribute to school life
• Provide student supervision and assist in organising extracurricular activities

We are seeking a Teacher who understands and commits to supporting the mission and ethos of Catholic education within the school by:

About You (Selection Criteria)

We are looking for someone who can meet the following selection criteria:

• Experience in teaching Science across various year levels
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications and accreditation to teach in NSW
• Ability to teach Science, Chemistry, and Physics
• A proven ability to differentiate the learning to meet the needs of all students
• The ability to develop positive relationships in the classroom based on mutual respect, patience, and understanding
• Strong classroom management skills, creating a positive learning environment
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
• Experience using technology to inform, track, and report student learning
• Design programmes and strategies to address the educational needs of our students
• Expertise in managing student behaviour in a way that supports learning
• Commitment to the development of a self-improving school culture
• Understanding and commitment to the ideals of Catholic education
• Passion for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to diverse learners
