Exceptional Patient Care Representative

The Mater Group has a diverse range of roles available for Operational Officers who will work in the Room Service Call Centre, providing exceptional customer service to patients. This role involves taking patient meal orders and enquiries via phone or at bedside using an iPad, ensuring that patient safety guidelines, customer service standards and scripting are followed.
Key Responsibilities- Taking accurate patient meal orders and enquiries using electronic applications or iPads.
- Familiarity with the Room Service menu, explaining options and promoting items where possible.
- Explaining menu options and adhering to guidelines and coding compliance for patients with Therapeutic Diet requirements.
- Performing administrative tasks, troubleshooting patient and staff enquiries and liaising with Clinical staff.
This is a casual position with a range of shifts available, including afternoons and evenings. Casual staff also have the opportunity to backfill unplanned leave by the permanent team.
Requirements and QualificationsTo be successful in this role you will have:
- Excellent customer service skills, with a willingness to go above and beyond to exceed patient expectations.
- A high level of communication skills, including the ability to build rapport quickly with patients and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Confidence using computers and technology, with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, problem-solving and time management skills.
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude and the ability to work in a team, with willingness to be a role model and promote Mater values.
