Curriculum Development Expert

Located in the Curriculum, Assessment and Strategic Policy Directorate, this role provides leadership in the development and review of curriculum, assessment, and standards support materials for Years 7–12. The Principal Consultant will oversee processes and deliverables associated with adopting and/or adapting the Australian Curriculum Version 9.0 for Health and Physical Education (Years 7–10), with a particular focus on Health Studies in Years 11–12.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the implementation of curriculum standards
- Coordinate moderation activities to ensure statewide consistency
- Contribute to the development of high-quality ATAR course examinations and marking keys
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development of curriculum and assessment materials. To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High-level knowledge of curriculum and assessment in the context of the WA Curriculum and Assessment Outline, the WACE, ATAR course examinations, performance monitoring and review
- High-order conceptual and analytical skills
- Substantial project and program management skills, including the ability to implement processes to facilitate monitoring, reporting and successful delivery and objectives in a timely manner
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in undertaking consultation, stakeholder engagement, collaboration and negotiation
- Ability to provide strategic leadership
