Director of Nursing Leadership Opportunity

The Director of Nursing is a key leadership position responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and direction of policies relating to the provision of clinical care. The role requires strategic thinking, effective communication, and strong leadership skills to drive quality patient outcomes and lead a team of professionals.


Job Description:
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote high-quality patient care and align with organisational goals.
  • Lead and manage a team of nursing professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and professional development.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that improve patient safety and quality of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide leadership and direction to the nursing team, fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, administrators, and other healthcare professionals.
  3. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing practices and programs, making recommendations for improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting, with a track record of success in improving patient outcomes and leading teams.
