OverviewThe Director of Nursing (DON) has responsibility for the overall planning, coordination, formulation, and direction of policies relating to the provision of clinical care for Theodore MPHS. The DON is also responsible for the efficient and effective use of human and material resources in Theodore MPHS, based on the NMBA – Registered Nurse Standards of Practice.
About Theodore MPHSTheodore MPHS provides an emergency department, inpatient, outpatient, and community-based health care together with residential aged care and a range of other support health services. Theodore MPHS also works closely with Theodore Council of the Aging under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for residential aged care.
Responsibilities- Lead and oversee clinical governance and nursing practices in Theodore MPHS.
- Plan, coordinate, and direct policies relating to provision of clinical care.
- Manage human and material resources efficiently and effectively in line with NMBA standards.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse with a current annual practicing certificate.
- A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Identified as 'key personnel' for the purposes of the Aged Care Act 1997.
- Comply with Section 23.3A of the Sanctions Principles 1997 Act to ensure key personnel are not disqualified.
- Appointment subject to satisfactory checks including a criminal history check (Australian Federal Police) and bankruptcy search.
Total remuneration value of up to $186,413 comprised of:
- Hourly rate between $78.59 - $82.40 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
