SQL Database Administrator Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced SQL database administrator to join our organization.

  • Support: Manage high-availability Microsoft SQL implementations.
  • Database Design and Implementation: Install, create, configure, upgrade, and monitor databases for optimal performance.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Regularly monitor database performance and optimize queries for efficient processing.
  • Database Security: Implement and manage security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Support for Application Teams: Support application teams for database-related incidents and requests.
  • ITIL Framework: Work within an ITIL framework for all work-related activities, including change, incident, and problem management.
  • Continual Improvement: Identify improvement opportunities and champion change on behalf of the team.
Requirements
  • Proficiency as a DBA managing Enterprise Microsoft SQL Server is essential.
  • Knowledge of the SQL Server Database engine.
  • Experience with virtualisation, Windows clustering, and associated technologies.
  • Experience in High Availability and Disaster Recovery scenarios.
  • Experience undertaking backup and data recovery processes.
  • Scripting experience using Power Shell to automate tasks like SQL Server installations and health checks.
