About the RoleAs a Pre-Construction Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Iberdrola's renewable energy projects. Reporting to the GM Pre-Construction, you will coordinate the technical, commercial, and planning aspects of project execution during the pre-construction phase. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting business development by conducting site inspections and constructability assessments.
- Providing technical insights and value engineering during the design development phase.
- Engaging with stakeholders, including landowners, authorities, and third-party asset owners, to ensure project compliance and prevent delays.
- Managing pre-construction tasks, including planning, scheduling, and overseeing early works contracts.
- Developing and maintaining project execution schedules and risk registers.
- Leading the preparation of tender documents and supporting contract negotiations.
- Ensuring a smooth transition from development to construction through detailed handover meetings and workshops.
This role can be based in Brisbane or Sydney, with travel as required.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or construction related field), with a post-graduate qualification in Project Management or equivalent.
- Extensive, recent experience in renewable energy or large-scale construction projects, from development through to Financial Investment Decision and beyond.
- A keen attention to detail and the ability to make decisive decisions under pressure.
- Superior organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines.
- Experience in the energy industry, particularly with wind, solar, and battery technologies, is preferred.
