Job Overview

The role of Contract Management Coordinator is a key position in the Australian Antarctic Division, responsible for managing contracts and procurement categories to ensure effective governance, risk mitigation, performance tracking, and financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Oversight: This involves managing contracts, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation Development: The successful candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive contracts and procurement documentation, including RFx materials, evaluation plans, and contract or category management plans.
  • Procurement and Tendering: Participation in the end-to-end procurement and tendering process is essential, including preparing tender documentation, evaluating submissions, negotiating contracts, and facilitating contract award.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regular monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on contract risk and performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and contractual requirements is crucial.
  • Financial Management: Effective management and analysis of contract expenditure to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints and achieve value for money outcomes is required.
  • Contract Interpretation: The successful candidate will interpret contract requirements, terms, and conditions, providing guidance to stakeholders as needed.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Building and leveraging relationships with advisors and suppliers to manage risk, resolve issues, and optimise contract outcomes is an essential aspect of this role.
