
Cancer Treatment Specialist

We are seeking a suitably qualified junior medical practitioner to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team providing inpatient and outpatient radiation oncology care in the public sector.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care for radiation oncology inpatients and outpatients, with the support and supervision of consultant Radiation Oncologists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day management of Radiation Oncology patients under the direction or supervision of Radiation Oncologists.
- Participation in research activities either constructed through own initiative or through collaborations.
- Interpretation and analysis of data from research with a goal of publication and presentation.
- Development of own specialty interests based on experience and mentorship provided in a professional team environment.
- Opportunity to observe leading edge treatments at other sites.
- Communication and coordination with other health professionals regarding management plans, diagnostic requests and consultations.
- Management of unstable patients, ensuring adequate clinical handover during leave periods.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in Radiation Oncology (preferred but not essential).
- MBBS or equivalent, registered or eligible to be registered with the Medical Board of Australia.
- AHPRA registration.
- Demonstrated Clinical Competency appropriate to level.
