Job Overview

The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in the overall leadership and management of the Medicare Mental Health Centre and Wollongong Hub teams. This includes contract management, performance and reporting, stakeholder and partnership engagement, management of the community engagement program and team, and of the Centre admin teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of operational strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of the Centre admin teams, ensuring effective and efficient service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and healthcare providers.
  • Oversee the management of contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report on performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Tertiary level education in a relevant discipline, such as business, education, health, or human services.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning and complex program management.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the Australian healthcare system and key issues in primary healthcare.
