Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. This role involves working with various stakeholders to deliver cybersecurity project engagements, focusing on threat detection and incident response.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security, security operations, or cybersecurity incident response, with hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools and data analytics software.
Main Responsibilities:
- Developing and continuously improving logic to detect threats and expanding security coverage over critical feeds
- Delivering cybersecurity project engagements, focusing on threat detection and incident response
- Managing stakeholders, advising on threat assessment and collaborating with project teams
- Contributing to security pipeline implementations and enhancements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 3 years of experience in information security, security operations, or cybersecurity incident response—or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools and data analytics software, including threat detection processes and use case development
- Proficiency in Splunk, ideally including Enterprise Security
- Certifications such as Power User, Advanced Power User, or Developer are valued but not mandatory
- Familiarity with technologies such as regular expressions, SQL, Python, and custom parsing
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, or equivalent practical experience
