Event Coordinator and Business Support Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive individual to join our team as an Event Coordinator and Business Support Specialist. This part-time role requires a flexible and energetic professional who can effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and work collaboratively with the team.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, advanced computer literacy, and experience in event coordination, business support, and stakeholder management. They should be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a strong sense of accountability and adaptability.

About the Role

This is a 0.6 FTE position that involves supporting the delivery of events and programs for Committee for Adelaide, including SA Zero, Adelaide Connected, Insights Series, and Emerging Leaders Series. The successful candidate will assist with event sponsorship coordination, expense record collation, and event planning, including invitations, RSVPs, nametags, theming, speaker coordination, event location, menu planning, and more.

The Event Coordinator and Business Support Specialist will also prepare sponsorship proposal documents, draft speeches and presentation slides, coordinate podcast recordings and promotion campaigns, and maintain CRM systems and data related to members and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of events and programs for Committee for Adelaide
  • Assist with event sponsorship coordination
  • Collate expense records for various events
  • Plan and coordinate events from invitations to event location and menu planning
  • Prepare sponsorship proposal documents
  • Draft speeches and presentation slides
  • Coordinate podcast recordings and promotion campaigns
  • Maintain CRM systems and data related to members and stakeholders
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Experience working in event coordination and business support roles
  • Advanced computer literacy skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and CRMs
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • A multiskilled approach to administrative functions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours
