Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to enhance our operations at Wilmar BioEthanol in Melbourne - Yarraville, on a fixed-term contract.

The ideal candidate will possess a background in a scientific discipline and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with quality control standards, maintaining regulatory certifications, and providing customer support regarding product information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain essential business certifications (Halal, Kosher, Organic) across all operational sites.
  • Oversee and manage supplier certification documentation.
  • Facilitate and coordinate various audits (internal, certification, customer, supplier).
  • Manage follow-up actions and reporting related to corrective measures.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance requirements (e.g., Questionnaires, Statements, Product Information, Quality Agreements).
  • Maintain the Change Management Programme register for Yarraville Bioethanol.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and report hazards in accordance with company policies.
  • Provide assistance in the laboratory as needed.
  • Support the Quality Supervisor in various tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of years' experience in Quality Assurance or Laboratory settings is essential.
  • Strong understanding of Halal, Kosher, and Organic certification processes.
  • Proven ability to create, review, and issue Safety Data Sheets.
  • Relevant qualifications in systems or processes are advantageous but not mandatory.
