Environmental Conservation Specialist

About the Role

The Bush Regenerator will work in a team to deliver conservation and land management projects on various natural environments in Western Sydney.

This role requires a good fitness level and suitability to undertake various heavy work requirements, including brush cutting, bending, lifting, standing and working in areas of thick bushland.

The Bush Regenerator's tasks will include:

  • Brush cutting
  • Tree planting
  • Weed removal and control
  • Herbicide application
  • Rubbish removal
  • Seed collection
  • Use of small plant and equipment
  • Watering
  • Mulching
  • Working with school groups

This role can be challenging and repetitive but is extremely rewarding in providing ongoing environmental work.

Key Requirements

The following attributes are essential:

  • A strong interest in the natural environment
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Certificate II in Conservation and Land Management or equivalent
  • General construction induction card
  • AQF3 Chemical Application Certificate
  • Working with children's check
  • Class C Driver's License and own transport
  • A willingness to listen and follow instructions
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently
