South Coast Baptist College is seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Teacher to join ourteam. The successful applicant will collaborate with the Head of Arts to deliver high-quality education and support students in their academic journey, ensuring adherence to the school’s mission, vision, and code of conduct.

Position Description:

- Deliver engaging, high-quality Drama lessons aligned with the WA Curriculum (ATAR and General).
- Foster creativity, collaboration, and inclusive learning environments that support diverse student needs.
- Collaborate with the Head of Arts and colleagues on programming, assessments, and productions.
- Support and coordinate College Drama performances, events, and productions.
- Contribute to students’ academic, social, and spiritual development within a Christian ethos.
- Participate in the broader life of the College, including co-curricular activities and community events.

Position Requirements:

- Degree in Education with TRBWA registration and recognized teaching qualifications.
- Demonstrated success in teaching Drama at the secondary school level, with strong curriculum knowledge.
- Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment using effective management strategies.
- Proficiency in educational technology and excellent communication skills for building positive relationships.
- Commitment to the Christian values and ethos of South Coast Baptist College, with a focus on professional growth.

Essential Criteria:

- To have a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
- To actively be a part of a Church or Christian community and exemplify Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices.
- To accept the College’s Statement of Faith.
- Build co-operative and supportive relationships with the board, principal, staff, students and parents.
- Work to ensure personal best practice.
- Ensure that decision making is based on fact and is impartial and fair.
- Model the use of appropriate and proper channels of communication.
- Always act in the best interest of the College and its ethos.
- Adhering to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.
- First Aid certificate.
- Working With Children Card.
