Description
The Launceston General Hospital is Tasmania’s second largest hospital, serving the North of the state and a population of approximately 250,000.
The LGH has excellent teaching and research credentials with ties to the University of Tasmania Medical School and research supported by the Clifford Craig Foundation. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
Details of appointment
This is a permanent, full-time position, or potentially two part-time positions (0.5 FTE), day worker (with on call), working up to 76 hours per fortnight, starting as soon as possible.
* Flexible working hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant to work part-time hours.
- Remuneration ranges from $216,300 to $310,389 per annum, pro rata, plus 12% superannuation and access to salary packaging, based on Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1- Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3.
- The package for this position, classified as a Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 9, starts at $484,000 per annum, with potential for higher earnings depending on seniority, in accordance with the current Specialist Medical Practitioner Award (Tasmania).
- Applicants must hold specialist registration.
- Applicants must be registered Medical Practitioners who are International Medical Graduates (IMG) on the specialist pathway, or have a recognised overseas specialist qualification with sufficient experience in the specialty.
- Current Working with Children Registration is required where applicable and as specified by individual position requirements.
