On behalf of our client, we are looking for a full-time experienced Project and Procedure Analyst.
The primary focus of the Project and Procedure Analyst is to analyse current processes and systems with particular focus on our project profitability.

Working in tandem with the Financial Controller, you should conduct and present yourself and your workplace in a professional manner, whilst exhibiting exceptional management and leadership skills. Aside from overseeing tasks and managing schedules, you should also motivate and inspire workers to complete tasks on time and inline with Intermain company values.

The daily duties and responsibilities include:
Process & Systems

• Assisting Project Managers with the overall project accountability from the start to the finish of the project life cycle and taking ownership of the systems and troubleshooting required.

• Analyse existing processes and system capabilities and recommend changes and improvement to meet key business objectives

• Overall responsibility to produce monthly project variance or exception reporting (including Progress Claims, overbudget project costs and projects not performing to budget etc)

• Review, monitor and explain the monthly project related issues to Financial Controller including variance in cost centres or overall projects materially different budget and any procedural issues

• Assessing and identifying procedural and organisational gaps, through analysis of current systems, capabilities and structures and identifying opportunities through application of continuous improvement and change methodologies to provide solutions to organisational problems.

• Perform monthly CPT processes, review, update and troubleshoot for review by Financial Controller.

• Monitor and investigate cost issues including questions for the Project staff

• Perform internal audits of systems, workflows and processes identifying any inefficiencies and area for continual improvement.

• Assist in the training, implementation and compliance with all improvements.

• Monitor and review all jobs over 80% complete to ensure financial aspects of the job are being addressed in a timely manner.

• Work with the Project teams to close jobs within 1 month of Practical completion.

• Assist in preparing/processing Job Cost Allocations via CPT or Journal transfers.

• Monitoring and guidance of Project staff on the live job schedule and all other financial project workflows.

• Monitor and provide training to Project staff to ensure project Cash Flows/Work on Hand (CPT) are updated and maintained.

• Monitor project commitments ensuring adherence to recognition and engagement procedures and company objectives

• Project controls, administration and project lifecycle compliance including project setup and maintenance, bank guarantee administration, executed contract reconciliation, client approvals, job costing and WIP recognition etc.

• Jobpac champion and subject matter expert

• Perform masterclasses and on the job training for staff in conjunction with Applicaton Support Analyst.

• Ensure all staff to take more responsibility for the financial aspects of their projects and all Intermain processes are being adhered to and identify any training needs or procedure changes required.

• Help identify continuous improvements to software and processes to increase confidence in the financial information

Business Management – WHS, Quality and Environmental Systems

• Endeavour to meet company Business Management objectives and targets that are within the defined responsibilities.

• Follow quality procedures as required.

• Report all injuries immediately.

• Report any hazards identified.

• Take steps to minimise wastage, power consumption and other environmental impacts.

Education – Bachelor's Degree qualification or at least 5 years' experience in lieu of formal qualification.

Experience & Skills

• Excellent organization, problem-solving skills, and communication skills.

• Analysing complex data and turning it into easily digestible reports for management.

• Proficiency in project management tools and business budgeting software.

• At least 1 year of relevant and related experience as a Project and Procedure Analyst or related role.

Preferred

• Strong technical capabilities;

• Effective interpersonal skills like teamwork and communication;

• Reliable history of providing timely information, reports, and insights
