About Vetfriends Chatswood
Vetfriends Chatswood is a purpose-built clinic that opened in 2005. We provide modern, professional, gold-standard health care for pets in our local community of long-standing clients. We aim to make clients and patients feel at ease with a caring and gentle approach to treatment and consultations. We are a team committed to gold-standard veterinary medicine and excellent service for clients, many of whom are insured. We work closely with surrounding specialist hospitals. We are a gold-certified cat-friendly clinic with a separate cat waiting area, cat consult room, cat ward, and cat boarding, with a focus on feline and rabbit friends.
About you
- Highly skilled in customer service with effective time-management and attention to detail
- Passionate about providing gold-standard customer service to clients
- Client-focused with a professional and warm approach to clients and their pets
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask
- Ability to show empathy and compassion towards clients and their pets
- Experience or exposure in the veterinary industry is desirable but not essential if you have transferable skills; training will be provided
- Prior receptionist-related and administrative experience is important
- Proficiency with computers (Word/Excel/Outlook) and experience with PIMSRxworks is beneficial
- Excellent and polite phone manner
- Ability to work efficiently both as part of a team and independently
Key Responsibilities
- Answering client calls and enquiries
- Scheduling appointment bookings
- Welcoming and checking in clients for their appointments and patient admissions to hospital
- Answering and actioning emails
- Communicating with and working alongside veterinarians and veterinary nursing staff
- Assisting with stock management
- Providing clients with parasiticide and dietary product advice and basic triage questions over the phone (as per veterinary staff advice and training)
