Find out more and .**Your Opportunity**Canterbury Bankstown Youth Service (CBYS) is a Specialist Homelessness Service (SHS) dedicated to providing accommodation and holistic support to young people.As a **Residential Case Manager**, you will deliver intensive case management to young people aged 16–21 who are experiencing homelessness and facing complex challenges. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting youth with challenging behaviours resulting from neglect, alcohol and other drugs (AOD) use, or mental health issues.**Key Responsibilities*** Provide person-centred, evidence-informed case management to young people with complex needs.* Support clients to develop strength-based, individualised plans that promote independence.* Undertake initial client registrations and complete required documentation.* Maintain accurate client files, case notes, and data entry in relevant systems.* Prepare reports, letters, and plans while meeting compliance requirements.* Attend network meetings and external case conferences to strengthen service delivery.* Assist clients in transitioning to independence or other appropriate services.**Position Requirements*** Minimum **Diploma in Social Welfare (or higher)** or equivalent industry experience.* Experience working with vulnerable young people, particularly those with mental health challenges.* Ability to provide guidance and supervision to staff at lower levels* Demonstrated case management experience with complex needs.* Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* High-level administrative and record-keeping skills.Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.**Your benefits*** Rewarding work – every day you know you’re making a real difference* Not-for-profit salary packaging, reducing your tax (details via )* Free external, confidential counselling and access to* Volunteering opportunities* Opportunity to purchase additional annual leave* Extra leave including Mission Australia Thank You Day & Work Anniversary Day off**Our culture**Our innovative and inclusive culture will ensure you feel valued at Mission Australia as you help Australians in need and develop in your career.We prioritise the safety and wellbeing of everyone, both within our team and the individuals we serve.We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive working environment.
