Role

We are looking for an experienced Workshop Fitter to join our team in Mackay. This role is for a mechanically minded person with good attention to detail. You will be self-motivated and adaptable as the job requires. This is a full-time permanent opportunity for a person that is looking for career stability and a good work/life balance.

Duties and responsibilities

- Build and reconditioning driveshafts for automotive, commercial, off highway and industrial applications.

- Machine driveline components.

- Assemble, welding, and balancing of driveshafts.

- General workshop duties as required.

We are looking for

- Well-developed fitting and machining skills obtained in a workshop environment.

- Sound mechanical aptitude and knowledge.

- Experience operating manual lathes and welding equipment is essential.

- Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility with job tasks.

- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and be open to new ideas.

- Proven safety and quality focus and perform assigned duties in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with Company's Health & Safety policies & procedures.

- Team player with a willingness to do whatever is required to achieve business targets.
