About the Position

Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church, established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected co‑educational independent schools. With an enrolment of 3,400 students from ECLC to Year 12, it comprises three metropolitan campuses in Melbourne, at St Kilda Road, Glen Waverley and Elsternwick, outdoor education sites at Chum Creek, Mallana, Lochend and a Year 9 residential campus at Clunes.

Part‑time Role

We are seeking a passionate, innovative and engaging Individual Needs teacher for a part‑time (0.4 FTE), ongoing position commencing in Term 1, 2026. This position is based at our St Kilda Road campus.

Responsibilities

Individual Needs teachers seek to optimise the learning outcomes for students with additional learning needs. This will involve assessing students' needs, liaising with internal and external professionals where necessary, and developing and coordinating an appropriate program. This position will work with students from P‑4.

Qualifications

Teaching qualifications and Individual Needs qualifications are essential. We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about teaching and have the ability to provide an engaging program to the students using contemporary teaching methods. Demonstrated high level classroom teaching skills and the capacity to work with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning are essential.
