About the role

An exciting opportunity for a machine operator to join our team based in our Sydney plant. Your work pattern will be 38 hours per week,

As a print finishing operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that printed materials meet the desired quality standards and ensure they are ready for distribution. You will operate specialised equipment in the final stages of the printing process to enhance the appearance and functionality of printed materials. Assistance in other areas of the business will also be required such as general cleaning.

- Set up and operate the finishing equipment

- Performing finishing operations such as cutting or replacement labels, cut cores, rework or change direction of rolls

- Quality control responsibilities

- Troubleshooting and maintenance: identify and resolve issues with equipment

- Collaboration and communication: work and communicate collaboratively with other internal team members to ensure a smooth workflow

- Follow safety requirements

- Other tasks such as manual handling tasks, cleaning of the work area etc.

About you

- No visual concerns such as colour blindness or vision impairment

- Does not suffer with any motion sickness

- Capable of standing for long periods, lifting heavy materials and performing repetitive tasks

- Familiarity with operating & troubleshooting equipment & machinery (desirable)

- Understanding of safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe environment (desirable)

- Machine operation within a manufacturing environment experience desirable

- Experience working in a standardised environment following standard operating procedures (SOPs) desirable

- Hands on and practical approach to work

- Ability to pay close attention to details

- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks

- Effective verbal & written communication skills

- Good time management to meet deadlines & ability to work under pressure

- Ability to work with minimal supervision & collaborate within a team environment

- Willingness to work in shifts and adapt to changing production demands

- High regard for safety

- Must have reliable transport

- Must have Australian working rights.
