About the Position:
As an ICT Business Analyst at Towies Australia, you will play a crucial role in optimising our logistics operations by translating complex business needs into effective IT solutions that drive efficiency and innovation. This position encompasses the full lifecycle of system enhancements, from requirements gathering and process analysis to project management and deployment, ensuring our transportation services remain agile and scalable in a competitive industry. Your contributions will directly support our commitment to reliable, on-time deliveries, making you integral to our growth and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Working with users to formulate and document business requirements
Identifying, investigating, and analysing business processes, procedures and work practices
Identifying and evaluating inefficiencies and recommending optimal business practices, and system functionality and behaviour
Using project management methodologies, principles and techniques to develop project plans and to cost, resource and manage projects
Taking responsibility for deploying functional solutions, such as creating, adopting and implementing system test plans, which ensure acceptable quality and integrity of the system
Creating user and training documentation, and conducting formal training classes
Developing functional specifications for use by system developers
Using data and process modelling techniques to create clear system specifications for the design and development of system software
Acting as a central reference and information source, providing guidance and assistance in the system project decision making process
Requirements:
Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or at least five years of relevant experience substituting for the formal qualification.
At least one year of experience in a relevant role, or five years if no relevant degree.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
Proficiency in data and process modelling techniques, such as UML or BPMN, for creating clear system specifications.
Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile or Waterfall) to plan and manage IT projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement, documentation, and training delivery.
