Service Manager

Your role and responsibilities

ABB is currently seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join the Robotics and Discrete Automation Division, located at Moorebank, NSW. In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the Service portfolio is delivered effectively according to ABB standard processes and safety guidelines to satisfy customers. Each day, you will execute technical support, act as a specialist, and solve problems in your own area of expertise. You will also showcase your expertise by communicating both with the customer and ABB sales teams proactively to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth. You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Providing technical support and solving problems in own expertise area via remote or on-site service in any Service category.
2. Determining effective Service applications, equipment, and methods to develop, market, or manufacture new Service offerings to respond to customer requirements cost-effectively.
3. Providing technical consulting on Service solutions to management and customers.
4. Identifying new sales opportunities, proactively communicating both with the customer and ABB sales teams to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth.

Qualifications for the role

- Electrical Trade or Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineer qualifications
- 2-5 years work experience in a similar field within a service environment
- Must-have skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, excellent communication abilities, and a practical, hands-on approach.
- Preferred skills for the job include having an Electrical License, experience with Robotics (especially ABB), and knowledge/experience in RAPID programming.
