Overview

Southern City Bathroom Renovations is a long-established family-owned company located in Bunbury, Western Australia. We are seeking two experienced carpenters/joiners for a full-time position.

Responsibilities include studying drawings, ordering materials, and assembling structures, along with broader carpentry and joinery tasks as part of renovation projects.

Responsibilities

- Study drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures.
- Order and select timbers and materials, and prepare layouts.
- Cut materials, assemble and nail cut and shaped parts.
- Erect framework and roof framing, lay sub-flooring and floorboards, and verify trueness of structures.
- Nail fascia panels, sheathe roofs, and fit exterior wall cladding, door and window frames.
- Assemble prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install.
- Repair existing fittings.
- Work with plastics laminates, perspex and metals.

Remuneration and Benefits

Annual salary: $75,000 – $80,000 per year. This includes 4 weeks of annual holidays.

Fully maintained company vehicle, all tools and PPE supplied. Employer superannuation payments in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992.

Role Requirements

- Typical workdays: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm as arranged.
- 3 years or more relevant work experience required.
- Work visa can be provided for this role.
- Job type: Permanent.
- Pay: $75,000 – $80,000 per year.
- Work location: On the road (travelling between sites).

Skills and Qualifications

- Reading drawings and specifications
- Assembling and fitting timber structures
- Concrete formwork and roof sheathing
- Installing floorboards and wall/door frames
- Working with timber, plastics and metals
- Licenses & certifications: Construction Industry White Card (Mandatory in Australia); relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in carpentry or joinery
