Ventia’s Group Supply Chain is seeking a dynamic and experienced Data & Insights Manager to lead a transformative journey in how we leverage data across our operations. Ideally based in Sydney, this newly created role offers the chance to shape and drive data-led innovation across procurement, warehousing, logistics, plant, and fleet functions.

As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a robust data capability that turns complex, raw datasets into clear, actionable insights. Your work will directly contribute to measurable cost reductions, operational efficiencies, and enhanced decision-making across the entire supply chain ecosystem.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in data analytics, coding, and solution architecture. You’ll lead a team of skilled data professionals, fostering collaboration and building the tools and frameworks needed to unlock business performance.

Responsibilities

- Lead the design and implementation of a scalable data capability across procurement, warehousing, logistics, plant, and fleet functions.

- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights to drive cost reductions and operational efficiencies.

- Provide hands-on leadership to a team of data professionals and build the tools and frameworks needed to unlock business performance.

Requirements / Qualifications

- Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.

- Seasoned experience in data management, analytics, or a closely related field.

- Proven expertise in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, production-grade data pipelines.

- Ideally comes from a supply chain or procurement background, with a strong understanding of operational challenges and opportunities.

- Possesses excellent people skills and can unite cross-functional teams around a shared data vision.

- Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Familiarity with agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

- A portfolio showcasing relevant projects or open-source contributions is highly regarded.

- Holding Industry certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics or Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer are considered a strong advantage.
