About the Opportunity

Heritage Lodge , a 103 bed residential aged care facility located in Murwillumbah in the Tweed Shire, 13km south of the Queensland border. Surrounded by homely comforts and beautiful gardens, we enjoy a close-knit community that feels more like a family.

Heritage Lodge are seeking a Permanent Full Time Cook to join their team working 38 hours per week with a pay range between $36 - $40/hr plus superannuation.

As a Cook, you will provide quality food services to residents and provide kitchen and food preparation support to our Chef.

Duties include:

- Taking direction from the Chef
- Ensure delicious, well-balanced and nutritional meals are planned, prepared and presented to meet the needs of our residents
- Assist with general food preparation, kitchen duties and stock control
- Purchase and order stock and equipment
- Ensuring all food is prepared, cooked and served in accordance with legislation

About You

To be successful, you'll need:

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher
- Demonstrated minimum 1 years experience in a commercial kitchen within aged care or a hospital preferable
- Bulk cooking experience highly desirable
- Experience with texture modified food advantageous
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and co-workers
