Purpose and objectives

The Digital Supply Chain Practice of SAP Australia & New Zealand is expanding by establishing a Supply Chain Management (SCM) Centre of Excellence (CoE). The CoE/'s purpose is to guide major customers through their journey to SAP Business Suite—with proven strategy, expert delivery, and scalable, lasting impact. The successful candidate will work on this high-profile, strategic and transformational initiative and the broader Customer Success and Delivery area within the DSC Practice.

We are looking for a senior consultant with practical SAP Field Service Management (FSM) skills and in-depth end-to-end process knowledge across SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), with focussed asset-intensive industry experience such as mining, oil & gas, energy and utilities.

Expectations and tasks

As an SCM – EAM/FSM senior consultant, you will have an excellent understanding of SAP FSM and the overall SAP Business Suite related to SAP EAM, how they integrate and should be used in the asset-intensive industry context. From an SCM CoE perspective you will help the customer understand their path from the “old” SCM world into the more advanced Business Suite world, including AI, mobility, automated scheduling and networks.

You will work alongside account teams in the software evaluation process, develop SAP-centric solution scenarios and needed architecture, prepare implementation plans and define outcomes that lead to overall customer success. You will build actionable roadmaps, support the creation of business cases, PoC, provide architecture advice and deliver implementation support where needed. You will act as the conduit between customer and product management/engineering to prioritise product roadmaps with customer needs, run/support industry-specific round tables and events for SCM and particularly Asset Management.

Under the overall DSC Practice mandate, you will be involved in engagements to advise on, design, implement, deploy our solutions to enhance the client/'s business functionality and overall performance, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction. You will partner with the client and possible 3rd parties to analyse and define business requirements, technology, processes, and objectives to scope project deliverables with the overall architecture in mind.

You will be able to work individually and as part of a high-performance team locally and globally, with SAP/'s and the customer/'s success at heart. Your experience and knowledge will position you as a go-to person to provide thought leadership on end-to-end solution design, implementation challenges or deployment options.

Qualifications, skills and competencies

- A proven 7+ years of professional experience as a senior SAP FSM consultant.
- Expert knowledge in SAP FSM with ideally at least 4+ full implementation life cycles.
- Experience across the SAP Intelligent Asset Management & Service portfolio (including SAP Asset Performance Management, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Service and Asset Manager, SAP Spatial Asset Management).
- Deep understanding of FSM administration to configure, test, integrate and deploy FSM master data and field service business processes (Scheduling, Dispatching, Service execution).
- Technical experience of mobile applications in field service operations.
- Ability to conduct SAP FSM and S/4HANA EAM-centric workshops, delivering end-to-end Business Process Solution Design.
- Good understanding and hands-on integration experience across PM, PS, MM, FI/CO.
- Understanding of business drivers, challenges and outcomes of asset management and plant maintenance in asset-intensive industries.
- Strong analytical skills, results orientation and problem solving.
- Ability to present complex information clearly and in a well-documented, trustworthy manner.
- Team player with ability to work in culturally diverse environments.
- Strong networking and customer relationship capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with technical and business focus.
- Passionate about technology and innovation; able to show how digital platforms solve business challenges.
- Experience with ML, IoT, SAP Joule and other AI tools is a plus. Basic programming knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with process modelling tools Signavio, LeanIX, WalkMe is a plus.
