PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Digital Supply Chain Practice of SAP Australia & New Zealand is expanding by establishing a Supply Chain Management (SCM) Centre of Excellence (CoE) to extend capability and capacity. The CoE guides major customers through their journey to SAP Business Suite with proven strategy, delivery, and scalable impact.

The successful candidate will work on this high-profile, strategic initiative and the broader Customer Success and Delivery area within the DSC Practice. We are seeking a practicing Supply Chain Management – Enterprise Asset Management Architect with end-to-end process expertise and industry knowledge within mining and/or oil & gas.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As an SCM – EAM Architect, you will have a solid understanding of SAP Business Suite across S/4HANA, SSAM, APM, FSM, and related components, and how they integrate in an industry context.

From the CoE perspective you will help customers transition from traditional SCM to the advanced Business Suite with AI, mobility, automated scheduling, and networks. You will collaborate with account teams during software evaluation to develop SAP-centric solution scenarios, define architecture, prepare implementation plans, and define outcomes that drive customer success. You will create actionable roadmaps, support business cases and PoCs, provide architectural guidance, and deliver implementation support where needed. You will act as a conduit between customers and product management/engineering to prioritize roadmaps, run industry-focused roundtables and events for SCM and Asset Management.

Under the DSC Practice mandate you will advise on designing, implementing, and deploying solutions to enhance client functionality and performance while maintaining high customer satisfaction. You will partner with clients and third parties to analyze and define business requirements, technology, processes, and objectives to scope project deliverables with the overall architecture in mind.

You should be able to work independently and as part of a high-performance team locally and globally, keeping SAP/'s and the customer/'s success at heart. Your experience and industry knowledge should position you as a thought leader providing guidance on end-to-end solution design and deployment options.

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

- A proven 15+ years of professional experience in the mining and/or oil & gas industry as a principal consultant/architect.
- Expert knowledge in SAP EAM and cloud solutions such as SSAM, APM, FSM, BNAC, etc., ideally with at least 10+ full implementation life cycles.
- Proven project delivery experience including the above solutions within mining and/or oil & gas, covering planning, maintenance, and remote field logistics and maintenance.
- Solid understanding and hands-on integration experience across RSH/MSO, PS, MM, FI/CO.
- Ability to conduct S/4HANA EAM, SSAM, APM and FSM-centric workshops with all stakeholders, delivering end-to-end Business Process Solution Design.
- Understanding of business drivers, challenges, and outcomes of asset management and plant maintenance in asset-intensive industries such as mining and/or oil & gas.
- Experience leading customer project teams as an SAP project manager (PMI, Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical skills, results-oriented, and effective problem solving.
- Excellence in conflict management and de-escalation.
- Ability to present complex information clearly, with good documentation and credibility.
- Able to coach and mentor junior colleagues.
- Team player with the ability to work in culturally diverse environments.
- Strong networking and customer relationship management capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and business focus.
- Passionate about technology, innovation, and how digital platforms solve business challenges.
- Experience with ML, IoT, SAP Joule and other AI tools; SAP Fieldglass is a plus.
- Basic programming knowledge is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of BI, SAC, Datasphere is a plus.
- Practical experience with process modelling tools such as Signavio, LeanIX, WalkMe is a plus.
