Job Description
The role:
- Permanent Part-Time from the start of Term 1, 2026 (includes one week of training/preparation from 19 January).
- Term-time only.
- 4 days per week (Tues-Fri), 8am-4pm (possible earlier or later starts depending on class scheduling - the shift pattern is locked in each term).
- Salary can be paid as worked (stood down during school holidays) or averaged across the year (paid during school holidays).
- Comprised of 18 hours teaching/instruction and 12 hours of admin/coordination.
- Manage and coordinate the Extra Curricular drama program across the school (Years 1-12).
- Plan and teach dynamic Drama lessons that engage and challenge all pupils, ensuring the requirements of the Trinity syllabus are met.
- Coordinate a small team of Drama tutors who will assist in teaching classes.
- Liase with students, parents, and other staff to ensure the smooth running of the program.
- In Term 3, coordinate five nights of selected works from all classes, and facilitate the Trinity Drama Examinations.
- Manage booking systems, enrolments, timetables, class scheduling, and payments.
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate:
- Experienced and skilled in various drama techniques and skills, with demonstrated acting experience highly regarded.
- Experience teaching the Trinity syllabus and facilitating Trinity exams preferred (but not essential).
- Strong organisation, administration, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confident and comfortable building effective relationships with a wide audience (from 8/9yo students to parents).
- A fun, dynamic, and personable team player who makes a positive contribution to the life of Kambala.
