Home and Personal Care Worker - Aged Care

Make a positive difference to the lives of older people who reside in the City of Darebin.

Overview

Support senior clients and their carers with domestic assistance, personal care and related services in home settings.

Responsibilities

- Domestic Assistance: vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms and toilets, changing bed linen, clothes washing, dusting and ironing in line with the client’s service plan
- Personal Care: showering, dressing, grooming
- Shopping Support and Individual Social Support: escorting clients on community outings e.g. shopping trips, excursions, lunches, appointments
- Food Preparation: light meal preparation and serving of meals
- Maintain client independence and safety: monitor well-being and report changes in health, behaviour, or social conditions

Skills & Experience

- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
- Victorian Drivers licence
- Own vehicle for work use (comprehensively insured)
- Current Level 2 First Aid/CPR training certificate
- Current employee Working with Children Check
