Canning Vale College is seeking to establish a pool of Languages (Italian) teachers who are receptive to change and caters for the learning styles of twenty first century students. Suitable applicants should have a deep belief that every student is capable of successful learning and exhibit highly effective teaching practices and a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice. An excellent knowledge of the West Australian Curriculum, a capacity to deliver content in an engaging manner and a willingness to integrate technology into learning experiences are also desirable qualities. The ability to engage students using a range of skills, knowledge of effective classroom management strategies and restorative practices will be considered favourably. The ability and initiative to work well with colleagues as part of a team to develop teaching strategies, resources and approaches to ensure each student can reach their maximum potential should be addressed in your application.
Responsibilities and Role
We are seeking to establish a pool of Italian – Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period. You ideally will foster student engagement and maximise student achievement in Italian language, applying contemporary understandings of best practice around second language acquisition. You will work collaboratively in a small team environment within the school and with a wider community to provide quality educational experiences through promoting the school’s vision and strategic directions. You should display how you will provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve to their highest potential, including effective classroom management and restorative practices.

Suitable applicants will have knowledge of the West Australian Curriculum, ability to deliver content in an engaging manner, and willingness to integrate technology into learning experiences. They should have a genuine belief that every student can learn successfully and demonstrate high-quality teaching practices with a commitment to ongoing improvement.
