Overview

Kanda are looking for passionate team members to support children and young people in residential care settings. In this role you will:

- Provide direct care and supervision to young people in a residential setting.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans.
- Assist with daily activities, support their understanding of self-care, education, and recreational activities.
- Promote a safe and positive living environment.
- Build trusting relationships with young people, offering emotional support and guidance.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Requirements

- Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check or being willing and eligible to obtain prior to commencement
- Available to work across a full shift pattern (mornings, evenings and sleepovers)
- Valid Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle
- Attained or working towards a relevantBachelor/'s Degree, Diploma or CertificateIV(Community Services, Youth/Social Work, etc.)
- Experience working with young people/children
- Experience working in other support work related fields, i.e. disability, mental health, aged care, and childcare
