The Role

We are seeking an energetic groundsperson to join the team in what is an exciting period for the Club.

Reporting to the Course Superintendent, you will be involved in all aspects of maintenance required for the upkeep of the golf courses and native heathland areas.

This is a Part time position (25 hours / week) working Tuesday – Saturday, 5.30am – 10.30am.

Duties and Responsibilities

Maintenance

- Assist with the operations and maintenance of both golf courses, including native heathland areas.

- Assist with the maintenance, renovation and reconstruction of all turf and garden areas.

- Carry out landscaping duties as required.

- Set up the golf course for daily play and tournaments/club events.

Equipment

- Safely operate and maintain Turfcare equipment and operate other machinery or equipment requiring the holding of specialised licences upon being trained.

- Report defects or damages to the Workshop Manager immediately to ensure machinery is fixed in a timely manner.

- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic

- Understanding requirements relating to WH&S and Environmental management on a golf course

- Manual Driver’s license

- Renumeration: $27.53/hour, weekend penalty rates plus 17.5% loading for Annual Leave.
