We’re looking for talented digital media professionals to help us deliver innovative communication and engagement across government. Multiple positions at different levels are available, offering opportunities to contribute your creativity and expertise to projects that make a real difference to the community.
We’re especially interested in applicants with good, demonstrable experience across various:
- Content Management Systems (CMS): creating, publishing and maintaining content across websites and the intranet
- Website and intranet management: ensuring information is accurate, accessible and user-friendly
- Digital content creation: producing engaging content fit-for-purpose for diverse audiences
These various digital roles support the Manager Digital Marketing in delivering contemporary, responsive and fit-for-purpose information to stakeholders via the Department’s internet, intranet and social media platforms.
Digital media officers ensure the Department’s digital identity and standards are upheld across all digital and social media channels. They build strong relationships by engaging stakeholders through meaningful interactions and early, open and transparent communication.
Digital Coordinators within the Corporate Communications Directorate support governance of the brands and digital channels associated with the Department and provide specialist expertise on digital content to ensure that all stakeholders are informed about and engaged in the Department’s strategies, programs, projects and initiatives.
Experience in taking and editing video content and digital storytelling is desirable, but not essential.
This is pool recruitment process for permanent full-time, and fixed term full-time opportunities. This pool may be used to fill future similar permanent or fixed-term positions that may arise within the Department and across the WA public sector in the next 12 months from the initial date of appointment.
Our Perth office is located in the Perth CBD in a convenient location, above the Perth Underground rail; close to the Wellington Street Bus Station and City CAT services.
To be successful for the Digital Media Officer – Level 5, you need to demonstrate
- Demonstrated experience in a digital media environment working with multiple content management systems (CMS).
- Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging trends in a digital media environment, a strong understanding of HTML and CSS code and technical website infrastructure.
- A comprehensive understanding of standards and compliance relating to Government websites, accessibility and usability.
- Demonstrated experience administering social media accounts (particularly within a government context) with a sound knowledge of social media platforms and social media campaigns/promotions.
To be successful for the Digital Coordinator – Level 6, you need to demonstrate
- Demonstrated experience in developing, delivering and measuring effective digital communication, engagement and brand management strategies for internal and external audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and delivering digital communications content across contemporary platforms (eg social media, websites, email campaigns), tailored to diverse audiences to effectively support organisational goals.
- Ability to develop and implement creative, user-centric solutions.
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a communications team within a broad organisation.
