About The Opportunity

Fairfield Hospital is recruiting for a Career Medical Officer to complement and enhance the current Department.

What You’ll be doing

Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care. This care will be provided within the clinical privileges granted by the CE on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.

How to Apply

1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with AHPRA, with minimum 3 years post graduate experience.

2. Previous experience in the assessment and management of Ambulatory Care patients.

3. Demonstrated commitment to continuing self‑education and development.

4. Demonstrated ability to work independently using excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise, including visiting patients’ homes and other community accommodations.

5. Evidence of ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a multi‑disciplinary team.

6. Commitment to quality assurance and teaching junior staff and colleagues.

7. Demonstrate excellent computer skills, and fluency in using Hospital EMR.

8. Demonstrate excellent communication skills with patients, carers, families, staff and referring GP and specialists (both verbal written).
