Total Remuneration Package: Remuneration package valued at up to $151,704.00. Base salary ranges from $87,550.00 to $133,846.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation.
Grafton High School is a large comprehensive secondary school of over 750 students, located on the traditional lands of the Bundjalung people on the North Coast of NSW.
Position Information
The school contains a support unit with 8 classes and is partially selective, with a selective class in each of Years 7 to 10. The school is the oldest public high school on the North Coast and has a long-standing reputation for academic, cultural and sporting achievement.
18% of students identify as having an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background. All students participate in a wide range of cultural recognition and learning experiences focusing on local Bundjalung culture, language and dance.
Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with mild intellectual disability (secondary) and/or autism (secondary).
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to maintain effective partnerships with students, parents, the community and colleagues to support student learning and engagement.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills that support the learning, behavioural and wellbeing needs of a range of students.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
