Aspirante is working with a Queensland government department to assist in their search for an experienced Test Engineer / Analyst to deliver quality assurance activities across a large-scale risk remediation program. You’ll work across multiple concurrent projects, validating complex transactional processes, ensuring data integrity, and providing assurance of solution quality.

This role suits someone with a strong mix of technical and analytical skills, who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams in a regulated government environment.

- Contract to June 30th with possible extension

- Paying up to $1060 per day

- 3 days per week in Brisbane office

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases.

- Work closely with developers, BAs, and stakeholders to ensure quality outcomes.

- Participate in test planning, status meetings, and retrospectives.

- Perform data validation and back-end testing to ensure process accuracy.

- Log, track, and manage defects using Azure DevOps or similar tools.

- Coordinate and support UAT cycles and regression testing.

- Contribute to release readiness activities and quality assurance reviews.

- Validate spatial data, geoprocessing tools, and map services (REST/SOAP).

- Use tools such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise Portal for test execution.

Skills and Experience

- 5+ years’ experience in testing within large and complex IT environments.

- ISTQB Foundation certification (or equivalent).

- Strong skills in both manual and automated testing.

- Background in spatial data systems or geospatial technologies (highly regarded).

- Experience in Azure Cloud Services, including APIM and Confluent Kafka.

- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and other documentation/project tracking tools.

- Experience with API testing and data integrity validation.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD environments.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
